Objectives of NWA:
- To work as the national governing body of wrestling and increase interest towards wrestling all across the country.
- To expansion and promote wrestling events in Nepal.
- To organize wrestling tournaments at local, regional and national level aimed at producing world class wrestlers.
- To conduct necessary programs for the protection and promotion of the rights and interests of wrestlers, technical officials, coaches, and administrators.
- To establish and maintain necessary coordination between the National Sports Council, Nepal Olympic Committee, and Government of Nepal for the development and expansion of wrestling in Nepal, along with establishing its relationship with the International Olympic Committee and other international sports bodies.
- To promote the development, expansion, and progression of capable human resources for wrestling.
- To promote participation of amateur wrestlers at national and international events.
- To elevate national pride, prestige, and respect through international wrestling platforms via media.
- To increase cooperation and coordination with educational institutions, youths, and children’s organizations.
- To publish periodic bulletins, magazines, newsletters, and other publications for the promotion of wrestling.
- To create a self-reliant financial resource and manage other necessary collaborations.
- To implement necessary measures for environmental protection, avoid adverse activities, and conduct required programs for environmental protection.
- To conduct and implement the National Sports Development Act-2077, and the National Sports Development Regulations.
- To work for the growth and development of talented athletes and technical officials.
